This will impact communities along the New Canaan branch of the railroad. This re zoning will devalue my property because you will not be able to control the over building. It will ruin Glenbrook and Springdale

Destroy local control = destroy character (value). Destroy value = destroy tax base. Destroy tax base = destroy social support. Everyone moves out. Who are these selfish morons?

I oppose the statewide property taxes and state control of zoning. Taxes are already among the highest in the nation, and if you need to balance the budget, CUT SPENDING!

These bills are crazy. If you want to increase tax revenue, tax the higher income brackets directly. The proposed tax is going to hit a lot of middle income people who cannot afford to pay more taxes, especially right now. In Stamford, a $300,000 home is far from a mansion. Downtown Stamford is already a traffic nightmare. Making it more dense is only going to exacerbate the current problems. This type of zoning needs to be kept at the local level - a cookie-cutter approach across the state is not the right answer.
