I oppose state-wide property taxes for over $300,000-
Also local P&Z committees shall be in charge of construction permits. Parking is important!

I am NOT in favor of a mansion tax on a house that is valued at $3, 4, or $500,000!

Absurd! A $300,000 or even $400,000+ house in Norwalk is NOT A MANSION. This needs some serious consideration unless the politicians voting for it aren’t planning to run for office again!

Connecticut is already one of the highest taxed states in the nation, we need more control of spending rather than increasing revenues!

A “Manson Tax” for properties over $300,000 is absurd! This is not NY and we the people say no this absurdity!!! Find a sure fix method to solve any financial constraints the State might be facing. Our State don’t need band aide to real monetary problems. We need permanent fixes those cannot be at the expense of hard working citizens of this State let alone this Country.

We (Fairfield County) already pay much too much in taxes.. We need Relief not more taxes -> A state wide tax on houses over $300M. is ridiculous. There should not be a Mansion Tax, the people who own larger homes have additional expenses of heat, water, electric....
and already pay more in square footage than other residents.
Condo's in Fairfield County go between $350M- $500M. Fairfield County already pays more taxes than the rest of the State.
State Wide Tax is unacceptable !
Instead remove Connecticut from being a Sanction City State, we could actually reduce the expenditures in CT's budget, if we are not a sanction state.
No More Taxes

A mansion tax on houses assessed over $300,000 is a tax on the middle class. First of all when you began the income tax, we were told the personal property tax would be cancelled, now we pay personal property, property, income tax and now you want to add mansion tax to hard working middle class people. This is extortion on behalf of the state. You will tax out a majority of people from owning their homes, what about elderly homeowners on fixed budgets? How are they to afford more taxes.

One cannot possible think a person in Fairfield County with a house worth less than $1mm can be considered a mansion. We just are trying to get by here and Hartford thinks they can squeeze more out of us. Anyone representing this area of CT who supports more property taxes is failing in his/her oath to those who elected him/her. How much more can we take???
