This is just another example of bigger government taking over local government which is not the principal this country was founded on. Stop Them!

Someone please tell me that this is an April Fools joke. These proposals are ludicrous.

I oppose this bill. It is NOT racist to allow each town to govern their own zoning and tax rates.

Change the law so that contractors (like Karp in New Canaan) can’t hold towns hostage over threats to build low income housing if they don’t get their way with pet projects.

Please also withdraw laws that allow builders to hold towns hostage to variances because of threat for low income housing. Low income housing should be planned by zoning and not held hostage by builders

This is an unfair bill! Costs of homes in Greenwich are priced ridiculously high. It is a "double whammy" to have a mansion tax.

Every town should have control over zoning and property taxes

Rep Aurora Please add my voice to those opposing SB171 and SB1024. There are constructive ways to address the problems of affordable housing without ripping at the fabric of society and pitting one part of the state against another. Solve problems by working together instead of scapegoating.

No!! The state has done enough damage to CT. They cannot have control over anything else.
