This will effect all homeowners in Wilton. Let's not be fooled by this uptick of home sales in our area due to the virus. This won't last and those of us who choose to stay will be additionally burdened . No more tax increases!!!!

We are already the second highest taxed state in the nation. Shall we aim for #1? People have been leaving this state in droves for the last several years.....yet the Democrats never seem to care.

DO NOT PASS THIS BILL OR ANY BILLS THAT CREATE OR INCREASE STATE BASED REALESTATE TAX. I do not want state based property tax added to our already too high municibly based property tax. If passed, it will raise cost of living across the board, raise rents, decrease realestate sales and reduce realestate and reduce property values.

We should not cede more power to the State. Maintaining local control of our communities enables a more effective response to the issues of our times.

Terrible nonsensical idea which would lower property values, cause further flight from CT, and be a huge infringement on local control.

Both the mansion tax and zoning bill are detrimental to Ct citizens. A $300,000 home is not even close to a mansion and the bill actually steps on the progression of the American dream. The zoning changes are also is an infringement on the ideas of the right to choose how to live one's life. It will also decrease property values, will reduce tax revenues and a population reduction due to citizens moving out of the state.

This is what happens when people don' t stay informed and keep electing politicians that are not fiscally responsible. They will just KEEP TAKING. This is only the beginning and it`s going to get much worse. Time to push back and say NO MORE. Collectively we can win. Tell your friends and family to sign. .

I do not support statewide property taxes; this will be a further discouragement for young families to move to CT from NY and elsewhere.
