This was a part of our youth and it is unimaginable that this should be torn down. It's a symbol of pride and of our history. Shame on those who choose to forget our past.

Separation of church and State was originally meaning no State church (government). For example the Church If England. So much blood shed between Catholic and Protestant. A memorial to brave men who fought for our country should be allowed to stay. The taking down of monuments and trying to alter history needs to stop.

The cross should not be torn down for historical significance alone.

This is historical. It isn't about religion. It is about a war 100 years ago. Leave it ALONE!

Not right for the few to out way the many. This memorial is not hurting anyone. Why after 92 years is it all of the sudden offensive. My cousins name is on this memorial. He died for our country. What are they going to put there in it's place, a football player kneeling. This is f***Ed up.

This important memorial should remain as a reminder of the sacrifice of the soldiers who fought & died for our peace.

Leave our 92 year old memorial alone. Let the Peace Cross stand in memory of the Prince George's Veterans who gave their lives in WW1. This is a war memorial for the men who gave their lives for YOURS and my freedom....

I was born in DC and grew up in Silver Spring. All of my male relatives served our Country and this idea of removing the Cross is insulting to them and everyone else who grew up knowing it's story.
