they have already taking Jesus away from it .. and it has been a landmark of our families that have died for our FREEDOM..... this is so wrong ... keep the cross

This monument has been here for longer than most if us and is a MEMORIAL TO THOSE WHO DIED to protect our freedoms. Just because it's the shape it is doesn't mean it is a religious symbol. Maybe that was the cheapest shape the families and community could afford. It is a historic monument. A memorial. A direction finder. If people have such an issue with it's shape and go straight to assume it is a religious symbol, perhaps we need to replace the letter t; the plus sign, that yoga stretch that requires you to stand straight with your arms out... these people have such an issue with the shape of this monument but they have absolutely no problem spending that money in their pocket...

Peace cross has always been around. It is part of the history of the Port Towns. Tearing Peace Cross down shows bias against Christians and the religious freedom our country was founded on.
