I grew up in Georgetown and the Mcgibbon Hotel was a huge part of my life. My dad played on their baseball team and i spent many days helping catering. And when I was younger christmas parties, sitting on Santa's lap! Please dont turn this into condos :(

I too moved to Georgetown from a city. I love my little downtown. I will do my best to be at that meeting!

Were old down town , we dont need are town looking like a city half of are historic building are being torn down for houses and condos which we dont need.

- too big, oddity - creates traffic congestion - parking concerns - gtown is a town but big business wants to make money and turn it into a downtown ghetto.

I just think a windowed building does not go with our diwntown area i am sure tgat in this day andcage they can come uo with a plan to keep some of the heritage and blend in with thecrest if nain street

Georgetown is one of the few remaining historical areas in Southern Ontario. We should preserve these areas with all our might. One only needs to drive through the GTA to see the souless, cookie cutter lego land it has become. We must protect and honour the few areas where our historical and cultural heritage remain in tact.

I was completely fine with the original idea, leaving the McGibbon building as is and adding onto the back. To tear down this building altogether would destroy the quaint downtown that our community has worked so hard to build. We are not downtown Toronto. We don't want or need these big fancy condos taking over our streets and skyline.

I'm not opposed to tearing down the McGibbon, I understand it's old and most likely a safety risk but building a glass tower in The centre of our historical downtown Georgetown is absurd.

I moved to georgetown to get away from the big town feel of city's like burlington where their downtown is littered with high rise builsings.

Although I do not live in Georgetown two of my grown children do I come to Georgetown all the time I love your downtown area I think the builders can find a way to build but keep the heritage everyone loves intact

I agree, I'm not opposed to the development of a residence on the site, but the quantness and history of downtown Georgetown is one of our favourite things about living here. I can't see this towering glass condo unit fitting in.

I've grown up in Georgetown and putting in a skyrise will ruin the small town feeling. It will bring in more and more people and one day our small town will no longer be a small town. I am not against them putting in condos I'm against them taking away the history of the town to put I'm some big ugly glass building

We just moved to the Moore Park area and the drive through town to get to work is a moment of peace. "If it ain't broken, don't fix it"
