I believe in keeping the historic heritage in Georgetown and any city or town for that fact.
If the put a new condo in downtown Georgetown. It will ruin the whole entire feel of downtown.

Don't worry, we still have the Barber Mill. You can go and have a picnic there when the weather is nice, peering through the barb wire and chain link, watching the heritage rats scurrying about.

Save our heritage buildings! Leave the Gib alone so it can soon look like the Barber Mill Property, cuz that impresses visitors to our town, reduces traffic congestion, and helps small businesses thrive. Why are half the supporters of this petition from out of town?? Bored??

This glass building does not suit the character of downtown Georgetown in any way shape or form. it reminds me of the horrid new city hall glass building recently built in downtown Brampton. We can do
better than this.

Let's try and save as much as possible of the Mc Gibbon to keep the downtown with a good look not a block of glass 12 stories high and out of place.

It will ruin the quaint historic feeling that our beautiful downtown now has. In my opinion, it will be quite the eyesore, not to mention take away business from the downtown shops for years. You have to wonder if the old shops will recover

Let's at least all agree to not make massive changes to downtown Georgetown. Any new development should keep in mind that it must fit into the current scene. We must protect our heritage.

I've lived in Georgetown for almost 28 years, there is a reason for that, I don't like the city I'm not one bit fond of it at all, I don't like walking down the street needing eyes in the back of my head, and this makes Georgetown one step closer to being the city a lot of us don't want it to become. Protect the heritage of this town and the people and many generations in it, keep it safe for the kids and elderly people, where we can still raise family's and walk the streets and say hello to others passing by. And last it's just an eye sore that me personally and many other in this town don't care to see.

I would hate to see the lovely old downtown being spoiled with the proposed monstrosity which would stick out like a sore thumb.
Surely the architects could come up with a design in keeping with surrounding buildings.
