We need this space to remain for our children's sake. It's hard enough to keep our kids from staring at screens all day without having one of the few organized outlets for activities structured for the betterment of kids to be axed in favor of a museum for a city barely 24 years old.
As a 36-year RSM resident, I am more than happy to spend my tax dollars on keeping the Boys and Girls Club in place.

I have two kids enrolled in the RSM Boys and Girls Club and they love it. I have to spend over $1,000 per month on afterschool care during the school year if the club closes and I cannot afford it. Why more of the City of RSM resources are being assigned to senior citizens than the United States future generation?

This program help me for 4 years when my daughters were in elementary school at cielo vista. I didn’t have a lot money to put them in a daycare or TLC program.

The only way the club should be kicked out is if the city council is going to use some of the $30M discretionary funds to build a separate civic center where the B&G's club can meet.

Nobody wants this museum. We seriously doubt anyone will visit it, but certainly not enough to justify how it will get there. The city should be helping and supporting RSM residents, not hurting them. Taking away the location of the club, as well as its funding, is unconscionable. Especially for something so unpopular in the community that would help nobody. The city will be taking away affordable childcare for 200+ RSM families if it moves forward with this I'll advised plan.
