This beach is owned by every citizen of Ontario and Canada. No business or other entity has the right to take it from us.This will not be allowed to happen.
Each and every council person representing the people of Niagara should not even consider this application!

Please leave the beach as is with two volleyball courts. It is now rare to find such a spot and it is so enjoyed by many, many people. There is ample room for Frisbee, families and solo beach walkers and sunset admirers.

We have a finite number of public beaches. Leave them open and unfettered.

Isn't it bad enought that you gave the other side away to make a marina?

In st.catharines we have a low unemployment rate and lack of good jobs. What we do have are beautiful beaches and nature that surrounds us. Take away our beach and you take away the beauty. Have we not learned our lesson with the developers in Port Dalhousie. They ruined what Port was. Still no development and now no one goes down there. They blocked off the pier as well. Still waiting to be fixed. So why should we have to share our beautiful "public" beach with a vollyball area. No thank you! Give your head a shake

The beach shouldn't be privatized, it belongs to the taxpayers! It's one of the reasons we live in the north end.

This beach is my haven, my escape, all year round. I was even considering a memorial bench for my late husband as the beach was his favorite place, but not now.

This is just disgraceful! This is not and never should be private land, this land belongs to the people. The ethics and morals of the people behind this have to be bought into question. What about those of us out here who pay our taxes and do our best to survive but can't afford to join elitist clubs like the one that will result in this sale. Unbelievable! This will not happen without a fight, sometimes we have to stand up and be counted.
