This plan makes zero sense for the majority. It's sickening to think more then half the beach will be monoponalized for one small specific group. Very selfish on the leagues part. I wonder how many others in the area are aware of this proposal. There are many locals that utilize this beach for multiple use; picnics, yoga, jet skiing, kite surfing, swimming, pet walking, sup, Pilates, etc... There is already 2 volleyball courts in place. Let's keep it that way. Let's keep it "public".

I live within walking distance, and enjoy this beach with my 3 young children. I want them to have access to this beach as we have in the past.

Please be advised that my wife and I are opposed to any privatization of public waterfront and especially a project that would use so much public space for the benefit of such a small group of enthusiasts. We have already experienced the loss of Port Dalhousie's Michigan side beach several years ago, to that a relatively small group of wealthy boat owners so they could have a place to harbour their yachts, and we fear that Lakeside Park beach may be the next victim of privatization. The privatization of this public land is not indicative of progress and will only serve a special interest group at the expense of the general public and must not be approved. Don't take the beach away from the public, not everything needs to be about money.

Remember we once had a public beach on the 'Michigan' or East side of the Port Dalhousie pier. Now it's a private marina.

I oppose the city proposal to build 12 volleyball courts on the Sunset beach. The beach should be available and accessible for recreational activities of all city residents and tourists. NO PRIVATIZATION OF SUNSET BEACH!!!

Sunset Beach is a BUSY PUBLIC BEACH that is ACCESSIBLE to the entire St.Catharines community, is one of the few remaining NATURAL beaches in the North Niagara Region, and is a HIGHLY VALUED WATERFRONT SPACE that allows for a MULTITUDE of RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES. The City, as stewards of Sunset Beach, should not lease or rent the Beach to ANY special interest group. IT IS VITAL THAT WE - CITIZENS and POLITICIANS - PROTECT SUNSET BEACH FOR ALL GENERATIONS NOW AND IN THE FUTURE.

Please don't do this. We have such limited access to our beaches already.

It is morally and ethically wrong for any portion of a taxpayer subsidized and supported public beach to be rented or leased out to any special interest group.

It is completely unacceptable to privatize a natural resource that everyone in our community utilizes and pays for through taxes. We have rights to God made resources that are for the enjoyment of all people. By forcing individuals to pay to access the beach is not only taking away something that is currently free and enjoyable, you are taking yet again another affordable form of entertainment for individuals who try and create something special for their families to do on a budget. Just not acceptable.

Please don't make this beach overcrowded. People bring there dogs here all the time and I would hate to see that taken away

The beaches need to be left pristine there are far too many beaches that don't get left as a beach just a big tourist attraction or party place so leave it alone
