I've had access to port Dalhousie Beach since I was a child and now I'm 52. This is a ridiculous use of the "public" beach which should be available at all times for the PUBLIC!

All people should have a natural right to our beautiful beaches, lakes, rivers any aspect of our Canadian environment without asking or paying for permission!

I am appalled that the city would even consider this!! We need to protect and maintain our natural spaces for all residents to enjoy. This beach belongs to the community.

Has the region of Niagara not learned its lesson in Port Dalhousie? The beach is a public space-- not something to be sold to the highest bidder.

Citizens of St. Catharines are not a means to an end. Don't ruin yet another well-loved place in this city for profit. For those who vote this through, we'll remember.
