Our beach is a jewel to be shared by everyone to relax in the sun. Why should this be taken from us so some kids can play volleyball?

Beaches are for the public. Tell them to buy up a cottage and build they're volley ball courts there, not on public beaches

Sunset beach is a beach for all and should tendon in its entirety for beach lovers - water enthusiasts / walkers- swimmers - but not privatized ...

It would be a shame to see this pristine beach taken over all summer for a small specialized group. It should be used by the families of St. Catherines.

I walked those beaches as a child and and so did my children....what a shame to take that away from our future generations!! Let it ALONE

This is wrong , absolutely not the place for a commercial activity. Beach volleyball is not viable on this last , little bit of pristine beach left in Niagara..

My daughter and I love coming to this beach in the summer for picnics..it is perfect because it is only 2 min away! Please don't take this from us locals!! We have a right too!

I have lived in Port Weller for over 50 years, my children spent every summer on that beach and all learned to swim there, please leave it alone for the people who still use it.

I use to live in Por Weller and that Beach was everything for the families and kids. this is not to be privitized for greedy businessmen. Take your Volleyball nets and find a piece of landd with parking away from families and this amazing part of St. Catharines. To me it is still municipal Beach and I voiced my opinion when the name was changed about this kind of thing. Didn't take long. all you people with pools in your backyard. Give it up. Others don't have this priviledge, just our sand and sun and water that we call our beach area.

This beach is very special as it is. It would be a terrible shame to take it away from people who enjoy it.

I hope St.Catharines city council is not that narrow minded. It's a step that would do irreversible damage to the city.

Sell the beach, and you'll be selling part of your soul St Catharines. Don't be foolish. What will St Catharines have left to offer the public and tourists.

Leave the beach alone! Niagara residents struggle very hard these days and to take away a place of FREE enjoyment for families is just NOT acceptable!!

Really? I'd heard about the volleyball courts and thought it was more than a bit much (12? Really?)... but this is over the top. No way this should happen at Pt Weller beach!!!
