S.O.S. - Save Our Sunset Beach from Being Privatized!!

We use sunset beach and lakeside beach every summer. There is already enough development along the lake, leave the few public spaces we have left alone.

Keep our beaches public..Always!!

St Catharines has a limited amount of public beach front property. We need these.

Beaches need to remain open to the public.

Come on. Let's keep a beautiful beach beautiful. This is nonsense se and will cater to a minority of city residents.

Don't sell off the little we have that is free. This beach is for everyone to enjoy. Stop covering up beautiful views with walls and buildings!

The city all ready removed most outdoor pools including the wading pool in Port Weller. Absolutely not !

Keep Public assets Public. Councol does not have to emulatr its predecessors dispicable decisions on Port Dalhousie. 15 years of regression. No need for private bars ala Toronto's Beach. If they need land they can resurect the Cupullo slow pitch field on Mountain Rd.

That beach has been my second home for 25 years...

The best beach in the area. There is enough private land there, let the public enjoy it. A pet friendly, family beach is something the community needs. Port Dalhousie is long gone thanks to all of the development.

I've enjoyed this beach freely since I was a child, and now I enjoy it with my own children. One day I hope to do so with my grandchildren as well. There are fewer and fewer enjoyments in the world that are free. The beauty of nature should not have a price tag. PotDalhousy already has volleyball nets. Sunset beach does not need them. Please consider what will be left when all the land there is has been bought. What left will there be to enjoy freely? What kind of memories will be made?

We have two volleyball courts on Sunset Beach at this moment. The poles are ugly. 2 are certainly enough. Players must provide their own nets and balls. I am for children having a beach to play, swim and enjoy. This beach does not have enough parking, No permanent toilets or change rooms. We live on Beachaven Dr. and have an abundance of wild life in the green belt at the beach. We do not wish the wild life compromised. A Residents Association for Port Weller is being formed, which will give us a say in what happens to our neighbourhood. Thanks for this platform.

No! This is not acceptable. I dont want my neughborhood to become so busy, I purchased a house there for the peace and quiet. Im sure there is enough room at Port to accomodate them.

I oppose the idea of the volleyball nets at our public beach!!

Let our kids ha e a beach

It's for the kids is the battle cry of the Niagara Rapids volleyball. It's not for the kids. It's ONLY for those kids who are priveledged enough to pay for volleyball lessons. Save the beach. Use something like Maywood school, dump some sand and don't screw up one of the only pristine beaches in the area.

Grew up going to this beach - how could they make it private???????

Don't privatize our beaches.

We should all be protectors of this Beach for now and for the future!

Our beaches in St. Catharines should be kept as public land. I am a home owner in the north end and don't want the area privatized
