Hell no! How about they purchase and waterfront lot and put down some sand for your VB courts. Nothing against volleyball, but not exactly a booming sport in the north. Certainly not enough to justify buying up municipal property to host a seasonal league.

It is a great place for people who can't get away on a vacation, my husband and I spend a lot of time there in the summer.

This beach belongs to the citizens of this city. There are PLENTY of private beaches already, and hardly any public ones from here to Toronto so smarten up city of St. Catharines.

Please do not allow this. Municipal Beach was renamed Sunset Beach. Why ?? I would assume because MANY PEOPLE come every evening to spend time on the beach. Walking the beach. Watching the sunset in evening. Daytime at the beach is also a busy place. Lots of people enjoying the sand. Walking. Kids playing in sand and some even swimming in the water. It is one of St. Catharines great serenity spots for ALL OF US to enjoy

Taking away childhood memories, present and future children's enjoyment.....not even considering teens and adult enjoyment for the sake of money?? Mother Nature will not be amused!! The public pays taxes for this beach and a few individuals should not take presedence over this Public beach!!!!

Too much of our natural landscape is being destroyed. There's no need to privatize our beaches, They should stay public!

Volleyball doesn't require a beach...just sand. They can truck it in at their own expense. Find an in-land location for the courts and leave the beach for the general public to enjoy please.
No way!!!
