There has to be other locations. This beach should be for all different sports not just one monopolizing the area.

There's a long list of other potential underutilized spots that could be used for the volleyball tournament courts without selling yet another hunk of Canada to privatization, mostly by Americans

I grew up running around in walkers creek/municipal beach. In addition to an important public space, its an important green space. It belongs to the community.

There is no need for That many volleyball courts for the citizens of St. CATHARINES. Two or three would suffice.
If the city mayer and council wish to make money from a Private venture with a private company using public
Lands then the citizens should see a return for their investment in direct order to the allocation of said lands on those lands.

The Rapids used a 'it's for the kids' pitch at the presentation but you might note that in the picture the St Catharines Standard chose to use for their story there are a lot of kids playing on the beach. Kids spending time with their families. Spending the day at the beach with your parents and friends are memories that last forever and most importantly they are low cost memories. I remember being in the back of my father's old Chevy Impala as our family headed out for our beach days. As new immigrants to Canada there were some very lean years and this was a great way to keep four young boys entertained. All kids need down time with their families and there is no better place than a beach. If the Rapids want to spend time with their kids at this beach just being a family come on down you are more than welcome and you can use the two courts already there for a fun game.

Everyone should have access to our beaches. They need to be saved for future generation to enjoy too.

My family moved here for this beach and the local pool that was torn down. I'm not okay with this. Also I am beach front, won't this decrease our property values?
