Public waterfront use is very important to everyone not just special interest groups. We cycle on the waterfront trail from Port Weller East to enjoy the view, picnic etc. The 2 courts that are their should continue to be used for free by families wanting to enjoy summer fun! I worked in recreation for many years in another town and we created our own courts next to our Sports Centre for the leagues and that didn't bother anyone. So don't spoil this beautiful natural area for the taxpayers of St Catharines. It's a true treasure!

I've been going to this beach since my daughter was little for picnics and walks. Would hate to see it taken away from us.

This beach has been a place I have constantly visited throughout my life, a five minute walk from my home and loved by my neighborhood.

All Public Beaches should remain as such as there are only three remaining in the city, if you include the beach on the opposite side of the canal. Why should they general public be denied for the sake of a select handful? This is not going to create a direct revenue for the city. No restaurants, of other businesses will follow a decision like this. Through the years, the city has already permitted so much building along the waterfront there is little left. Just as most of the Henley is sanctioned off for the select few, once again they are taking away from the general public. The city's bad choices of the past have already stripped the public of an enjoyable place to be in Port.. Please don't make any further bad choices to effect generations to follow! Sometimes less is more, the simplicity and peacefulness of this beach is what draws family's, friends, paddle boarders and so much more to love and enjoy this amazing beach. I truely hope it can remain the way it is.

Let them buy a piece of land and beach where the public does not already have access.
