Visited this beach in 1949. Lets keep it in its natural state.

As a former resident of St. Catharines and now living on Lake Ontario nearby I absolutely oppose this. It goes against many years of planning that have protected water front land from being privatized.

12 courts would be too many for the size of this beach. It would be overrun with volleyball with not much room left for anything else. Somewhere else would be better.

Don't privatize this amazing beach! Families are running out of places to go and have a fun time outdoors. Let's keep this amazing place open to everyone!

This petition should be updated to reflect the current status of the proposal rather than continuing with an inaccurate portrayal. I am located in the Port Weller neighbourhood. I understand that The City of St Catharines will continue to own the property and that the business interest will only have partial access. The Sunset beach is a beautiful waterscape and can be attractive for a variety of uses and enjoyment by more people. As a community we need to be forward looking.

All Citizens of St. Catharines have the right to use the Beach Area along Lake Ontario. It is a Public Beach, as such, we the Public of St. Catharines have a justified claim to use the Beach Area along the shores of Lake Ontario.
Councillors for the City of St. Catharines were voted in by the Citizens of the City of St. Catharines, Therefore, your express purpose in Council should be to maintain the Rights of the Citizens of the City of St. Catharines.
Respectfully,
Jean Hulls

There are not many places left to enjoy any water front in Niagara.

The waterfront is for EVERYONE. Save our SUNSET BEACH from Privatization. Port Dalhousie would never be the same if a private organization took over the beach area.

Leave this beach alone. It is packed during the summer months and used in the winter as well.

The waterfront is for EVERYONE, not just a private sports league.

St. Catharines needs to stop privatizing things an stop ruining everything because a bunch of old people think they know best. There's a reason people don't stay here. So don't chase the loyal ones away. Hear their voices and let the people keep what makes this town home to them.
