Protect Coastal Dance and Music Academy! Reject the Issuance of Permit to Sell and/or Dispense Marijuana at 998 & 1030 Huston Street in Grover Beach

Ridiculous idea

An establishment of this nature is completely incompatible with a dance studio and in addition, it should not be allowed to displace other local businesses. Please consider the negative impact this decision will have in our community because it goes far beyond financial gain.

There are other more appropriate sites for a d ispensary. Please work with the community to find accommodation in a suitable spot; not near a valuable arts center and hub for children's recreation and arts lessons.

We don't want that in our neighborhood.

CDMA is my second home! I love knowing that both of my daughters get to express their creativity in a safe and nurturing environment. We would be devastated if CDMA was displaced or worse because the city allowed a permit to sell marijuana in the very place so many children go to dance, learn, make friends and so much more. Please don't allow this to happen!

In this age of declining funding for the arts, it is more imperative than ever to keep them viable and accessible to our children. Our community depends on it. Please do not allow these vital businesses to be disrupted for this purpose.

We don't need an area where the vagrants already hang out standing around asking people for money or drugs...

There plenty of store fronts and commercial space available for pot stores. Let's be smart about this. Do not issue a permit next to an established studio like CDMA.

Coastal Dance and Music Academy and Coastal Performing Arts Foundation's are vital contributors to our local community and to our children and youth. Housing a marijuana dispensary next door doesn't make sense on any level and would damage these businesses who contribute so much to our area. Moving the business is not easy as CDMA has invested significantly in making their performing arts studio state-of-the-art. Please use your discretion to set up guidelines so that drug businesses are not next door to businesses that serve youth. Thank you.

I feel that displacing businesses that are and have been part of the family friendly (children) focus and structure of the neighborhood would not be an advantage to this community. CDMA/gymnastics have both been a very integral part of the neighborhood for many years in my opinion another less familial area could be easily located without the relocation is sites that are already bring utilized for all of these children.

Keep marijuana sales out of Grover Beach!

I have been in cities that have dispensaries and have seen the long lines of people waiting outside. These are not the kind of people you want in an area with businesses for children. Please put it somewhere else or better yet...please don't allow it at all! The 5-City communities do not want this.
