I've been in theatre all throughout high school, and I've learned more in theatre/being on stage than any of my core classes. It's a great way to express yourself and without it is a missed opportunity.

Theatre plays a vital role in critical thinking, cultural proficiency, and confidence in teens. We must work to keep it going strong in the school system.

NHS Class of 1984, theatre all four years at North. The theatre department was my home in many ways. Do what is needed to keep it alive and well, please.

The arts brings out the best in every student that is apart of it and keeps them out of trouble. Nothing that positive should ever be cut at all. It should be built up and funded even more!

Why is that when there is a budget issue the first thing they cut is the arts? The one area that motivates students and enhances one's creativity. Please keep this program and continue to have a full time teacher!

I wasn't even in drama and I know how much it means to students. A lot of North's best students are leaders in those classes and are some the best representatives the school will ever have.

Arts are another way for students to grow & express their talents in ways other than athletics. There is an entire population of students affected by this decision. It would be a shame to see this program done away with as "excess."

I'm a proud Theater student. And these kids deserve as much exposure and experience in the theater world. I'm willing to help by any means necessary!!

It would be a terrible tragedy to cut drama. It has certainly changed my daughters life.

I dont understand why this was even an idea. Art, theater, and music are some of the only outlets for people with depression, social anxiety, and other similar things. Itz a way to express ourselves and show what we are passionate about. Unless you support mindless robots in kids and putting kids into depression? You might consider not cutting yet another art form from school even just alittle.

If you're going to cut something then cut something pointless. Obviously this is far from pointless, so cutting NHS Theater will be a big mistake.

He is a great teacher who strives for excellence and allows people to accomplish their dreams in the drama theater department. I've seen great shows that have been run by him I've been in some plays that have made huge notice through other schools building, whether it's building sets or being in the pit band it's been amazing it's another home for people to gather and come together as a family. But with going part time that family will slowly die down and people won't notice as much so please don't give him part time

It will be a mistake to cut down this department. This is were allot of the students find them selfs away from all their problems both at home and reality. Its a depression distraction well at least it was for me.

With so many arts infused schools in the North feeder pattern this seems like a counter productive move.
