It seems that the new children coming to the area should be sent to a different school. Dividing children this way just isn't right. My children attend private school but if we didn't I would be so upset for them to have their neighborhood and school divided. And the property value aspect is a whole other thing we don't like the sound of!

Please do not rezone the Trinity edition. This is such a poor decision that negatively impacts the children first and foremost and the home value. We specifically bought out home because it was a LSE feeder!!!!

A major reason why we purchased our home was due to the high ratings of Lone Star Elementary and the proximity to our house. Please stop the re-zoning

Hoping they will decide NOT to rezone. This change could seriously mess up our home values. If they do rezone, which I suspect they already have decided on, I would expect lower school taxes should apply to all!

Re-zoning Trinity is NOT in the best interest for all. At a HIGHER level outside of the school system it will lower hundreds of homeowners’ property value! No one will purchase a Trinity home for what it’s worth in a split school neighborhood. This will affect all Trinity homeowners.
Several of us paid a premium price for our Trinity home this summer just to attend LSE! Re-zoning will affect our return on investment for our children’s educational future and our financial well-being. It will affect Keller’s ISD reputation and not draw in more home buyers.
Realtors will re-direct homeowners to PLANO, TEXAS where the school district is rated a 10 and has solid school district neighborhoods so they don’t have to think about re-zoning.
How many students are feeding into LSE from Trace Ridge and The Knights at Park Vista? It’s not on the map. The map shows zoning 110 K-4th students for Cap Code only. LSE current enrollment is 734 (rated 10). There are 158 LSE 4th graders moving to the 5th grade (intermediate school) in the fall.
There are multiple rental homes in Trace Ridge which means the enrollment will constantly fluctuate. It will only take a few renters to match the 110 Trinity students. Then, we’re back to square one, while still losing property value.
There is a HUGE apartment complex that feeds into Friendship which can change the enrollment numbers well over LSE instantly. When this happens you’ll have four neighborhoods, several hundred home owners losing property value, two KISD schools with lower ratings that will be over populated.
Keep the zoning for LSE and Friendship “as is” and look into expanding these schools, not re-zoning and/or build another school around the Trace Ridge or Park Vista neighborhoods to resolve your enrollment concerns. This solution is building another opportunity for Keller ISD ratings to draw in more home buyers.
