This is my grandsons school and I am very passionate that they be able to enjoy their time at doubleview. The impact increasing the number (and age) of students on this site would be detrimental to the school students and community.

Another bad school decision by Colin Barnett and his team. They closed down and sold of the land to developers Hollywood SHS, Swanbourne SHA, Scarborough SHS, Carine TAFE, Churchlands ECU. Why should Doubleview have to pay for their poor forsight and mistakes.
My dad along with many residents in the area donated 10 pounds in the late 50's to clear and create the ovals.
These ovals belong to the people not greedy, poor vision looking forward Barnett Liberal State Governments.

Save our school! There is no room here for development. Leave well enough alone. This has been decided upon with no due process or consultation with the local community. The way this has been handled is appalling. If Doubleview Primary is developed in this way we will be devastated.

This is a disgrace!
That oval is named after my grandad who was passionate about teaching the younger generations.
Children need release to be able to learn effectively, I can tell you the children will be harder to control and teach if you stick them in a classroom for 75% the day and then on their breaks give them only a small area to play in which they have to share with 2 schools worth of children and teens of all different age groups and needs.
They are children who need to learn, grow and play. Don't take this integral part of growing up away from them.
There will be other sites you can utilise for the new shool, don't hinder one communities growth to benefit another's.

It's an absolute disgrace to take away valued grassed areas from school children. Every day on the news we are told our children are addicted to technology and don't play outside anymore and we are experiencing an obesity epidemic. Most houses these days no longer have back yards and now you want to take away this area? What hope does our society have of not become obese tech zombies if you are taking away these children's opportunity to play outside.
Running around on my school oval was the best part of school. Don't take that away from these children just because it no long affects you. What is these were your children?
I'm sure there is other vacant land that can be used for the international school.. Our suburbs are not that built up that we now have to build on top of existing used land.

Where will the Children Play? Doubleview Primary needs a well-planned upgrade to cater for the growing needs in the area, not a short sighted political band-aid to fix up the mistakes of the current Government over a decade ago. Please don't sit idly by while they sacrifice the open space of the community or the future of the school to make the Minister look like they have achieved something before the election. We are within our rights to demand proper and thorough planning, supporting evidence for the proposal and consultation with the school and wider community.

Please save Doubleview Oval and reconsider the move of the international school. The City Beach suburb has lot more available public areas that could facilitate any new educational building development. Doubleview Oval is the only green area where children can play and dogs can be exercised after school hours. It would be a huge loss for our community.
