Save Doubleview Oval

The top oval is used by the primary school more than the bottom oval (Sports days etc). Please do not take away our green-space and nature for our young children. The oval attracts a huge number of different bird species to the area who eat the grass - its their food! and makes the suburb the wonderful place it is with all its wildlife. I went to this school as a child and moved back to the area, so my child can go to school here, just because of the fact it is so beautiful and has so many mature trees and space to play. Local and residents also use this Oval regularly for exercise (after school hours). This cannot be allowed, The Primary school has spent years making the school bird/nature friendly and now you are going to replace with more concrete, people and cars. No - Not on! Go somewhere else with you international school. There are better places.

As a former resident of Doubleview, I really hope this doesn't go ahead and the primary school keeps their grounds.

Please rethink this proposal we want to keep our green space and keep our children safe and healthy and our community strong.

Open space is critical; buildings should be denser / multi-storey to preserve space and be more energy efficient.

I live locally and regularly (weekly) take my family to play on these ovals. I don't have an issue with 2 schools being on the site, but can the buildings be 2 and 3 storey so the ovals are saved?

I attended this primary school. I am now 38. One of the best things I remember is having a big oval to have the freedom to play and run around on. Kids need to be encouraged to play outside. Don't take the space away from them

This land should be kept for education and the community. Typically this Government wants to make a quick buck, rather than protecting assets and resources for future generations.

Parkin get and traffic will be an absolute nightmare. The junction of SBR and Flamborough is already hazardous at best!

jamming children into buildings and forever destroying their opportunity to be active is poorly thought- out and desperate choice. Big rethink required here.

Why not have them move to the old Police building Plain St East Perth as that used to be a school and is currently empty instead of taking away ovals and playgrounds from schools. And they wonder why there is an epidemic of obese children!

A Large green oval for students to exercise and play sports on is very important, this change should not go ahead

Perhaps a multi-storey option on the current site? But we need more green space in the suburb with the rate of infill, not less.

I have a few concerns with the relocation of ISWA onto the Doubleview Primary site: 1) sharing one small oval with effectively two primary schools and one high school does not result in DPS in having a reasonable sized oval to use for all classes. No more football oval for all future years to come and no more spreading out over two ovals for carnival days. 2) Parking is going to be an issue- ISWA expect to have up to 600 student Plus DPS student numbers 3) Traffic congestion is already bad - why not add another 600 students to the mix (plus some students from ISWA that will be able to drive!) It's going to become a traffic hazardous zone

This park is used morning and afternoon by a lot of locals. It is a fantastic community area. Aside from that, the school area is already very busy and certainly cannot cope with the additional number of students
