I am deeply appreciative of the effort you put into this campaign during a period of such uncertainty. Final supporters
Like hundreds of 802 musicians, my family and I will definitely lose our 802 Health Plan coverage on September 1, 2020 and I am worried sick about it.
There are possible ways to help keep us covered and help keep the fund financially viable. Not much has been done and time is running out.
Please sign on and help me motivate leadership and propel into action our officers, Executive Board and 802 HF trustees. They are the only ones who can create meaningful, legal action.
Looking to Congress for help, recommending ACA coverage, etc. is not enough. Those suggestions are not solutions and will not save our fund.
This is an urgent and potentially devastating situation!
It is also a unique opportunity for our union officers to serve their members during this uncertain and critical time. Take this opportunity 802! We, the members need and would wholeheartedly support your efforts to save our fund and keep us covered.
I, for one will gladly do all I can to help in that endeavor.

While I am fortunate enough to have health coverage through my employer, for now, so many of my colleagues at 802 do not. It is unthinkable that our brothers and sisters could go without at a time when they have no income. There are creative solutions being proposed. Local 802 must find a solution to this problem ASAP.
We need to hear from our elected union officials about what can be done to assure the continuity of the plan for it's member-users. If there is nothing the union can do, then what options members have to get insurance elsewhere must be made clear, including the deadlines by which any such available actions must be taken.
Please save the plan! We may not be considered as "essential" workers, but the plan is essential to to 802 musicians. Thank you
The union needs to find a way to keep members from falling off the plan. There will be very little employer contributions for the foreseeable future and creative solutions need to be found to keep people on the plan.
The loss of this fund will be devastating to the professional musicians of New York City, and at an extended time of the suspension of all performing opportunities, there is no possibility of buying replacement insurance. Please act!
People who have lost work due to COVID-19 shutdowns should not lose their health insurance!

Given these unprecedented circumstances, might this be the time to make an exception and permit us to pay the 2K employer contribution (along with our usual personal payment) that would provide us with 6 months of coverage?
