This should never be allowed. This will cause nothing but problems.

The atmosphere of this park would change dramatically once an entertainment venue serving alcohol is allowed. The park should be preserved as a safe family alcohol free excursion. The neighbors do not deserve to live with the added noise and possible drunken shenanigans. Not every part of Salem needs to include alcohol. Keep the quaint charm of this park for all to enjoy.

Just no….a right of passage for our kids is walking to the willows alone; we know that they are safe…serving alcohol will change that forever

Totally agree with the sentiment of the Willows org and this petition. I have been enjoying the park and neighborhood for almost 40 years now - owned a home in Fort Point for 15 years, and continue to enjoy the park since then. An establishment with a liquor license would certainly change the vibe and composition of people visiting. It would obviously extend the hours of attendance and inevitably increase noise levels. It would also open the door for additional businesses to do the same. Please don't set this precedent.

As a former resident, Salem Willows is a gem and should be preserved as much as possible. I love Salem Willows and all the enjoyment it brings. PS: I,m sure the pigeons miss us!

As a previous resident of Salem and spent many years at this park it should remain family friendly and no alcohol license should be granted within that area

Please keep this family park as such without mind altering substances ie: alcohol in this application. There are neighbors’ houses and bedrooms literally 60 feet away. Between the noise and second hand smoke this is a threat to health.

I’ve been going to The Willows since 1965. I drive from Haverhill often to grab a box of popcorn, put a blanket or chair on the grass& watch the boats & people. Families mostly. Adding alcohol is going to ruin this family atmosphere, bring a whole different vibe.

Alcohol will ruin the willows, it’s a family place and a place to enjoy nature. No need to ruin it with drunk people that will ruin it.

I was born in Salem on Turner St. My Dad use to take us to the Willows every weekend in the summer. Going there meant everything to us. My Dad would give us a nickel to spend so we had to decide on an ice cream cone or a ride. Big decision but oh what memories we had. I live in NH now but visit the Willows as much as I can. Please keep it the same.
