Reinstate Mr Yates as Headteacher at Tottington High School

My daughter has actually been enjoying school with Mr Yates there is has made so many improvements for better less stressful environments and more secure and safe for them - since the departing of Mr Yates the school rules have already changed with girls having to change the uniform to wear boy trousers no tailored clothes and suit style (Male) trousers from when they were allowed to wear more female fitting clothes like flares - the change upon their confidence that Mr Yates put in place knowing and understanding teenage girls as of his own daughter as he mentioned regarding eyelashes etc that Louise has changed once again - I wonder if she was one of the ones that put the complaints in against him the deputy head so she could have the power - although the changes she’s put in place I don’t see how that is supporting the students rather than a power surge by her

He has changed that school around the kids love going to school because of him. He has a positive attitude towards everything and everyone. He is what every school looks for in a headteacher BRING HIM BACK

Mr Yates was the best thing to happen to THS in a long time! Bring him back!

From what I have seen online and heard from friends of parents with children at the school, Mr Yates injected much needed energy and passion into Tottington high school. Whilst tackling difficult subjects of bullying and inclusion which were problems when i attended the school 30+ years ago Reinstate mr Yates with immediate effect!

Mr Yates has changed the school for the better .the time & effort he puts in. The school will go downhill again without him.

I have one child at Tottington now and one who left last year. I can honestly say Mr Yates is a wonderful man and teacher. He has done the school a lot of good and will only continue to do more for the school in the future. He is fantastic with the children and a great motivator. I have not like this school for many years, or the way it was ran, but since Mr Yates arrived it has thrived. If he is not reinstated it would be a great injustice for the school, its staff and the pupils.

I’m a teacher myself. Appalling that a staff member could be treated like this.

Mr Yates is the only reason we sent our son to Torrington high school as we believed he could make a difference and in my opinion he really has

Value diversity, don’t punish it!!

Heard nothing but good positive things about Mr Yates, my grandson will be picking his high school in September which would of been Tottington but not sure now, THS finally gets a fantastic Head teacher and yet again he’s been let go. Our children grandchildren need consistency which by the sounds of it THS haven’t had for a long time.

He has been amazing since he took over!

I’ve had 6 headteachers over my time at Tottington and have a younger sibling there. Never has there ever been a more personable teacher who made such a huge difference to the atmosphere of the school in such a small amount of time. Please get him back !!!!

He was my deputy head teacher at Sutherland high school many years ago and was brilliant then. I Follow the school because of this and even considered changing my children’s school because of the head

Both my girls did so well through high school because of mr yates... his suspension is a disgrace....

This is appalling. I know how badly neurodivergent children can be treated at school. He is an asset to the community.

Although im not a THS parent seeing the impact Mr Yates has had on THS has been incredible.

Mr Yates is the only reason, due to his past performances at his previous schools and at THS that my daughter is sending her son to Tottington High School. He needs to be reinstated ASAP so he can continue to lead this school to be the best in Bury.

Inspiring headteacher who truly cares, unlike the SLT who tried to get him out! He needs to get back.
