Reinstate Mr Yates as Headteacher at Tottington High School

You helped me in school - HCHS Now I'll repay that favour

What message about inclusion of different mental and social abilities is this sending to the children at the school? Until Mr Yates arrived Tottington High School was somewhere people did not want their children to attend. Now it is a much sort after placement by parents. I personally know of one family who drove from Darwin each week day to keep their son at the school after their house was sold.

Teachers are being used as scapegoats for poor parenting!

This headteacher is amazing. The people complaining are the problem. The school is going from strength to strength under Mr Yates leadership.

As a parent of a neurodivergent child I wish my daughters school had someone with his passion, I hope the board does the right thing!

He is the best head teacher anyone could ask for. And the school would not be what it is without, definitely the worst mistake they could do is get rid of him. Amazing teacher and is very passionate about his job and is always putting the students first.

Mr Yates was and continues to be the best head teacher a school could ever wish for. The fact he is being punished for being enthusiastic and passionate about his students is an absolute disgrace. If he has ADHD, maybe look at putting support in place not tearing him down!

My daughter is starting Tottington high school in sept and one of the reasons was because of Mr Yates and how he has done an amazing job in turning the school around in the last 12 months!!

My daughter had alot of issues beforehand. Since my Yates became headteacher she wanted to go school more has he his always supporting his pupils

I hope he goes elsewhere after this, what an asset to any school!

We need heads like this !! Makes the gap between pupils and staff not as vast. Which is what helps our sensory children more inclined to participate in school.

I strongly believe that Mr Yates is the best thing to happen to Tottington High School in a long time. It has improved immensely under his headship. Hie energy and enthusiasm are contagious and makes a huge difference to the school
