He has the energy and passion required to do a difficult job. If students are happy and achieving their goals then he is doing his job. Sounds like it’s staff that need to be suspended as they are being the bullies here.

Put this man back into the position he was born for. He did nothing but good for my daughter’s school. This is despicable

Being punished for making all of the positive changes, he needs reinstating quickly before any permanent damage is done to his hard work.

Unbelievable headteacher. I would love to shake this guys hand as I truly believe he changed my life as a year 10 student. I have gone on to have successfully career and I salute you sir. You will always find a school acceptable of your skills. Poor decision by the board on this one. I’ve heard of the mr bates scandal. This is the mr Yates scandal

Shaw Educational Trust, should any truth be found in what has been suggested you should be totally ashamed/disgusted with yourselves! Mr Yates has finally evoked leadership, positive change & progression in a school that prior was lacking in providing just the basics! Emphasis being placed on supporting/ not challenging ‘bad, unwanted, disrespectful, disruptive behaviour’ (irrespective of the impact on others), whilst leaving children who are deemed as being somewhat ‘capable’ to crack on, be sidelined, with little if any support. God forbid you have a quiet child who flies under the radar/non visible disabilities…I have always regretted sending my children to Tottington High School & have genuinely feared for their education, wellbeing, even their safety given the gravity of incident’s that have regularly occurred (shocking in itself). I wish I had done something about it. Children left to scrape by, little in the way of education, suffering a continuous stream of supply teachers/long term absences… that’s without all the unruliness/violence/vandalism (displayed in abundance by other pupils) said it all…until Mr Yates arrived & thank God he did, given what he has achieved in just 1 year! A man who was brought in to tackle/deal with the above issues head on! Highly regarded, with an outstanding, exceptional 29 year reputation…Strikes me that if you actually operate out of the box, be passionate about your job/what you do, want to bring about positive change, show creativity, kindness, integrity, honesty & transparency, stand up for what is right, your face doesn’t fit! Happens far too often these days resulting in bullying, discrimination, harassment etc! My children are genuinely upset and angry to hear this. I genuinely feel that without Mr Yates, back in position, this school will rapidly spiral downhill. Whilst I appreciate I do not know the facts, I can speak about the state of the school & its continued decline, our personal experiences of Tottington High, pr

As an adult with ADHD at 43 I wish I'd of had this kind of teacher I may of stayed in school instead I left at 14 misunderstood and alone, people are not robots and children respect and engage when a teacher has this energy

My girls went to Tottington before Mr Yates & I honestly wish he’d of been there whilst my girls attended. I follow Tottington’s page & honestly have discussed Mr Yates with family , friends , old & new students , the walk of fame for the new years 7s -Fantastic , the whole school cheering them on , a 1st day they will never forget for all the right reasons. VE Memorial Day , the whole school out for minutes silence , whilst bagpipes is the only noise to show respect & young people all stand together - remarkably outstanding . More schools need a Mr Yates , bring him back !!! More young people need a Mr Yates & more teachers need the support of Mr Yates ! Mr Yates - do not be defeated - you are clearly adored by so many , you are an exceptional Headteacher & human, clearly very competent at your job , well loved & respected , don’t let the b*%#tards get you down !!
