After reading what this teacher has done for the school and its students. Seeing comments from mums and dads, as a SEN parent how on earth can you justify getting rid of someone who was changing young lives for the better?

The problem historically with this school is thats its had more Head teachers than a fast food restaurant staff, another problem is that there is a few teachers here that are there for the benefit of the of time off/6 weeks summer holidays etc, the naïve teachers, the ones that don't have the ability to engage with kids meaning that the kids then don't respect the teacher. These minority of induvial jobs worth who think they are GOD use red points instead of the cane because they cant build relationships with the kids so they use the threat of red points instead of engaging. I had a conversation with an assistant Head teacher at a parents evening recently regarding our son who admittedly isn't an angel and i suggested that when he gives red points for the bad behaviour that maybe if and when that our son actually does something positive then it would be acknowledged, since that conversation and KUDOS to the assistant Headteacher mentioned who a actually going forward did change that approach with our son and the relationship and behaviour changed for the better. THIS IS EXACTLY THE REASON Mr Yates should be back where he belongs because he does this on a daily basis with every child, he sees the positive he sees the positive in the kids instead of the negative, he has a contagious positivity and kids feed off this. To the minority/few teachers who has complained i would bet my mortgage that you are the ones that threaten the kids with red points all the time instead of maybe trying to positively engage with your students where you would get a better response. RESPECT works both ways which is what Mr Yates has. this suspension is an insult to Mr Yates who has done more for this school in the last 12 months than the god knows how many desk jockeys we've had over the last 11 years (must be around 6 or 7)

I’ve never seen a school head teacher so dedicated. It’s a real sad shame this has happened

Whilst I no longer live in bury the videos I see shared from the community and wider reach and the position he has placed the school from a local small business point of view is short of astonishing. This man should be given an award from suspended the people on the school board should now come under scrutiny and looked into if they are fit for purpose of that position. Reinstate this man he is changing young lives

Watch the videos of this headmaster at school think he does a fantastic job with the kids .
Think there maybe a touch of jealousy amongst the professionals due to him doing a great job with the school by turning it around and them not being able too / or not being dedicated.

Mr Yates has done a fantasticcjob, the only reason our daughter is at Tottington is because he changed it round for the better. This is madness, bring him back ASAP.

May not know this gentleman but so what if he has ADHD. He's showing everyone who has it or anything similar. They can achieve their own goals.

Don't know the headteacher but looks like the kids respect him. And are happy to go to school which is good to see now a days. Hopefully there's not more to this. Hopefully they will see since at the end of the day it's all about kids being happy at school and enjoying it.
