The most wonderful kind caring compassionate headteacher I have ever known.... Every child under his wing at Heywood Community school absolutely adored him... from the A star pupils to those pupils who had difficulties.... The well behaved to the disengaged pupils they all respected and responded to his genuine interest in every child in the school .....

Mr Yates has made such a difference to the school and importantly the majority of children seem to be a lot happier in school since he took over as head.

My daughter went to this school and it became horrendous, but it seems Mr Yates has turned it around, the school and education authority should be extremely proud of him!
