Reinstate Mr Yates as Headteacher at Tottington High School

He's brilliant

Best heas teacher in the history of tottington high school..he is what school needs ...so much of improvement has been made...

You can clearly see the impact he has had on many children’s lives. Re instate this man’s career !

As a neurodiverse young girl, who detested maths, Mr Yates just “got” the way my brain worked. He was that brilliant in his method, I even got up (and was on time after ALWAYS being late) to study at his 8am classes. In results day NONE of my expected As mattered, I got a B in maths! All the fretting about having to resit at college, the countless tears and begging to be put in the foundation paper. Mr Yates BELIEVED in me and I’m still proud of that B to this day! All down to his weird and wonderful ways. You’ll be fools to let him go! In this day and age, with an education system that is clearly not fit for purpose, a little bit of unorthodox behaviour and humour is vital to well-being. Without well-being being nurtured peacan pie learning will happen!

This man is incredible. He was a teacher at my school back in early 2000s Spring Hill high in Rochdale. He is what kids need one in a million this man.

Bring back david! The best thing that ever happened to THS!

Be proud to be different. It should be celebrated not excluded. Inclusion matters. What are we teaching the kids if your not inclusive of difference.

I had 6 headteachers at Tottington high school over the 5 years I was there and this man did things for me no other head teacher could he actually listened to us and didn’t label us as ‘troubled kids’ like the other headteachers did he was one of the most genuine teachers I have ever met

Wow my granddaughter came on leaps with him being at the helm this is absolutely heartbreaking for the children

Absolutely astonishing that he's even being questioned over this. He was the best head teacher so supportive and patient and I couldn't speak more highly of him!

BRING THIS TOO GUY BACK

The best headteacher ever! Mr. Yates must be brought back to school because he is very motivated, energetic and kindest head ever. He inspires students to do the right things and fought bullying in THS. Parents and students are demanding to get Mr. Yates back!!!

Mr Yates is a fantastic teacher who has the best interests of his students at heart. He is passionate about his job and only wants the best for his pupils. He should be celebrated for his hard work and dedication to lots of schools and children in deprived areas such middleton and Rochdale.

I cannot believe I am here having to do this .. he is an excellent teacher making a dull school day for the children so much brighter . The children including my son love and adore him and he brings the absolute best out in them , making them feel safe , seen and heard . If it is due to his condition then shame on you Shaw Trust .. bring back Mr Yates and make your school excellent again
