The son of a friend of mine goes to Tottington High. He says the difference this guy has made is incredible. Bullying has stopped and children love going to school.

Discrimination, as a mother and a teacher this is a disgrace. The positive publicity his do called erratic behaviour brought to this school and his previous school is the reason many parents chose the school. He pulled the last school up to a good rating rom Ofsted too, with the same MA trust.

Having been to tottington high prior to it being a Grammer I can honestly say how much it has changed. Where there was lack of encouragement and enthusiasm there is now thriving kids with real opportunities. Any headteacher that can do that should never be made to leave.

I only see the pupils outside school when waiting for the bus. Since Mr. Yates has been in charge there has been a vast improvement in pupils behaviour. I hope you are back in school school soon. You are missed

I have know Dave personally for 10 years. If anyone may be thinking the way he is is some kind of facade they do not know dave. He pours himself into daily life with unmatched enthusiasm. The measure of the man is shown when he took time whilst on a family holiday to tutor my daughter who was struggling during that school year. He cares about education and absolutely lives it everyday. Great human being! Im not from the Bury area but understand the impact this will have on the community and wish you all the best.

Met David Yates many years ago whilst working in Rochdale , he was an inspirational teacher and the school needs more like him!
