Reinstate Mr Yates!

I no longer have children at school, they are adults now but I would have loved my children to be taught by Mr Yates. His enthusiasm for his pupils is amazing. It sounds as though there's a bit of jealousy from a small number of people.

I don’t know Mr Yates but the education system needs people like this. Thanks to politicians and Ofsted mucking around with education and using it as a political punchbag, there is no wonder that teachers are leaving the profession in droves. Mr Yates seems to be a rare beacon of hope and inspiration while others’ light has diminished significantly. Could I daringly suggest the possibility that Ofsted / Estyn, politicians and trust managers could learn from him?

This is what a successful.head looks like

He is a hero, he must be brought back to Tottington High School, for the sake of all students.

This excellent Head needs to be applauded he was obviously doing a brilliant job.

Mr Yates is the man who does all events and he supports young people who have disabilities and mental heath problems and I vote for him to stay

What a man David Yates is! He is a prime example of how our kids should be being educated within school!!! Great man, great teacher, great head teacher

I cannot agree with this decision- it is discrimination and ableist. If a staff member needs support for their ADHD they should be given that- not punished. To the trust- sort this out without delay- apologise and learn from this. You made the wrong call.

We need more teachers like this

David Yates was the head of my school, Litherland High. After he left I was subject to bullying and harassment from pupils but when he was there, he stopped it. He cared. I have ADHD too and can relate personally. If this is the case of dismissal, then what an unfair and cruel MA Shaw Trust are. If it’s something different then a statement would be good. I have more to say but I’d go on all day…

I don’t know who mr Yates is but he seems like a really good headteacher and in this day and age it’s they type of headteacher pupils need , hope he gets his place back good luck

Mr Yates doesn't seem to be the problem here, he's the one doing teaching right, showing students how to be their authentic self.

Not all heroes wear capes

I don't know this man but from what I can see he is a total inspiration and role model to the pupils in this school Either reinstate him or deal with the issue
