As a Manatee County resident, I expect my commissioners to represent their constituents and not the developers who donate to their campaigns. For all the reasons outlined in the petition, this plan should be denied without hesitation. If approved, I honestly do not know how you can sleep at night knowing you contributed to the devastation of one of the last remaining pristine and ecologically-rich areas of Sarasota Bay. Please do the RIGHT thing and vote "NO" to this plan.

I strongly oppose the proposed Long Bar Pointe development as it will irrevocably change the skyline, destroy bird, fish, and wildlife habitat, devastate a critical and sensitive marine ecosystem, and disrupt a multi-million dollar public asset and benefit to the regional economy. Long Bar Pointe is a unique asset that should be protected and treasured for future generations, not paved over and built on to enrich a tiny group of people in 2017.

When a developer can build something as good as nature has already done, then I will stop signing petitions such as these.

The planning board should reflect the interests of the majority who they serve on behalf of. Hearing the double speak of the developers and their hacks at yesterday's "hearing" was most revealing. They are soft voiced posers fronting about their concerns for the environment and the rest of their BS and they are experts at confusing the system of representation. It made me NOT blame their greed, but those "representing" us who were offering up unchallenging, softball questions allowing the Suits to get some freebie, overhead smashes against us all. PLANNING BOARD? Hey, stand up for the future, not the fake future of brutal developers. Keep the aqua, aqua limpia and preserve this pretty world down here which distinguishes the Florida west coast, from the east coast.

Please stop this development. It has been a great asset as it is one of the few remaining undeveloped areas. We should preserve this area not destroy it.

Please preserve whats left of an important fishery!!! These developers can find other ways to get rich without destroying the ecosystem. The Ecosystem in the Bay is already under so much stress. This will surely ruin it for good!

The nature, birds & wildlife found in Florida are unique & its greatest asset. It attracts eco tourists from all over & is good for business . There are few remaining undeveloped areas. Longbar Pointe should be preserved and NOT developed.

Please don't let developers destroy what we all came to Florida for. And don't let them make traffic any worse than it is or it will double my commutation time.

NO!! I live on the bay on LBK I vote and I pay taxes. Aqua will spoil the view, including of Boaters, and would be an environmental mistake by the Commisioners.

Insanity runs this project! Who wants to live/vacation in an urban environment with skyscrapers and a total inability to get to beaches, theater, restaurants or anywhere else? Environmental disaster coming if it is approved. Talk about a doomsday scenario....
