Stop destroying the shoreline. I was born in Sarasota and I have been watching this happen my whole life. Zoning has gone too far.

We already have plenty of waterfront properties for those that want and can afford them.

Please deny this development plan and protect the fragile ecosystems in Sarasota Bay.

The continuous destruction of natural shoreline on Sarasota Bay should be halted; once and for all. The entire area in question is in a flood zone. More development in such an area can only further embroil the insurance industry in needless claims when storms occur.

Keep this preserve, mangroves, wetlands, bird sanctuary, etc. as it has been to preserve Old Florida for all citizens and future generations!!

Long Bar Point is an unspoiled local area and should be left that way. In addition, the infrastructure is already inadequate for the area. Roads, bridges, restaurants and services are all stressed and long waits are becoming more common. Let's scale this development back even more, bring it in Line with all local ordinances including height limits and have the developer put money up front to be used for adequate road improvements - especially on Cortez and other necessary roads and bridge expansion adequate enough to easily handle the additional traffic. If the builder cannot put up the money to do these items now, and developments go forward the entire area will be burdened with congestion and large tax increases, which nobody wants.

This development would violate several county laws against dredging and wetland protection and severely impact mangroves and their ecological function. Trimming mangroves has never been allowed in a mitigation bank

Enough is enough. We need this natural space. Peace and quiet to feed the soul.

Please do not consider allowing this project to go forward which would be so destructive to our precious Bay area.

Time to think of nature and people. Forget profits for developers, especially those with big political connections.

Why do commissioners want to build , build ,build then wring their hands because of crowded roads and limited resources?????

We have been opposed to this development, which shows no respect for local ordinances, the livelihood or Cortez fisherman, the inadequacy of infrastructure, wildlife or quality of life.
