Destroying the mangrove for a housing development is just greed. Mangroves have a proven benefit for the community. One only need to study the tsunami in Thailand to see what protection that mangroves provide to the land. In addition, mangroves are a habitat. I don't know why you would want to destroy the ecosystem just so people can live there. We have plenty of land out east. Live east and visit the coast.

We need this shoreline to be kept pristine. We do not need another development, more people, ugh. Please do not allow this piece of shoreline left to us be destroyed, mitigated or any other action taken against it. The destruction of our natural beauty and incubators for animals must be stopped.

We must save this important part of Florida's coastline for the habitat and living ecosystem as it is.
This is what brings people to Florida in the first place. Very short sighted to approve this development plan!!

Just say no..mitigation "points" in nether region swamplands out east do us no good when we lose our mangroves, nursery habitat and bird sanctuaries let alone the flooding and eyesore his messes create.

After you have exhausted what there is in business, politics, conviviality, and so on - have found that none of these finally satisfy, or wear - what remains?
Nature remains.
~ Walt Whitman
We shouldn't allow to be destroyed every square foot of natural shoreline we have in this state, for some person's greed!
I am a native Floridian and resident of central Florida and frequent visitor to the Sarasota/Manatee and Sarasota Bay areas, mainly for activities such as boating, kayaking, fishing, birding, and also annual volunteer projects for fishing line cleanup with Sarasota Bay Watch. If there are no natural areas remaining, there will be no draw. Please do not permit this development.

All too quickly we are destroying all the amazing things that make our area unique. This is so sad that some would sell out our natural resources for yet another 'cookie cutter' center.

This is awful. If Beruff wants to destroy and get away with destroying Eagles nests on his properties, to now trying to destroy this lagoon, if the Manatee Council allows this, then we can call them all out for being in the pocket of Beruff and Mosaic. Disgusted with Mr. Beruff is putting it kindly. Beruff is an environmental pig.

This area must be preserved, this is the last undeveloped shoreline in Sarasota Bay, a real treasure, would be a shame to lose it

This is nuts! Please stop and preserve the pure beauty that our area holds! Honestly, the locals may make money in the beginning but it will cost all of us in the end plus take away the natural beauty that attracts so many people to our beautiful and pristine area.

I wonder if our County Commissioners will listen to the residents of manatee county or take cash or favors instead?
