I was very surprised by the poor quality of the expert property review and the communication that went out sharing the findings especially given that i’ve heard their have been rumors for some time that the district plans to close Sartorette. Currently, this is looking like yet another waste of tax payer money. Hoping for better as the process continues.

Went to that elementary school live near there terrible idea would bring a lot traffic to our area. We have enough traffic as it is keep the school for our children!

School property should not be leased or sold to raise money for the district. It's very short-sighted, and would be impossible to replace in the future. Find other ways to cut costs.

I was part of the Sartorette Home and School Club when the parents originally decided to raise money for the track. The parents and teachers thought that the track was important enough to set aside thousands of dollars each year in order to have a track installed. This decision was reaffirmed each year for many years as they set aside additional money to build the track.
The money that was spent on the track could have been used for any number of other projects to enrich their children's lives and enhance their education, but money for the track continued to remain a priority year after year. This track truly belongs to the parents and children in the community.
I understand that the district needs money and leasing land is one of the better ways to generate revenue. However, the school board and the district need to realize that the Sartorette field and track is not just an empty piece of land, it's a recreational amenity that is important to our children and our community.

How shortsighted to even think about selling the place. 20 years from now the current schools will be packed and it will be impossible to buy a new place for a new school.

Selling valuable educational assets to developers for financial gain does NOT benefit the students. DO NOT SELL THE SCHOOL. In the future, when population increases, we will have no options and the District will be forced to purchase or lease properties at a much higher cost.

I attended Sartorette all through grammar school, then Price, then Camden. My children attended Sartorette as well. Always know to be the best in the district. Other schools sold too, campbell high, Stein ford, Camden, House... and for what!? Those were all regretted down the line. Don’t sell Sartorette!

My son loves the track at school. In a world where kids are constantly on electronic devices (even at school!) why would we want to remove something that encourages being outside and active? Don’t close the track - our kids need it!
