Demand Metal Detectors and Clear Backpacks in Harford County Public Schools to Ensure Student Safety

Students and teachers should not have to worry if will come home alive at the end of the day.

Even as a student from a completely different district, i agree with how insane it is that the administration believes that phones are more important than our actual safety. This incident absolutely could have been avoided if schools actually put money into real security.

Compared to other schools in the county people would consider my school safer and less likely for a school shooting to occur but even that may be true I’m TIRED of coming to school worried about a school shooting occurring. They worry so much about our phones and sure phones can be distracting at times but they enforcing rules to keep us safe rather then rules about phones.

It was terrifying to receive the call that there had been a shooting. If this can help prevent others getting that call I am all for it!
