Keep the library open! Literacy is priceless, this should be a non issue.

Library is essential to a child's development and improving reading habits. Please save the librarian position.

This is a fundamental question of whether we support the quality of our school's educational programs; specifically the human resource elements that most directly promote student enrichment. And it's great to see this healthy community engagement ..hopefully not to late for our kids' best interest.

A school without a library?! This is beyond important to a child's development.

Cutting a 0.5-time position will have nearly zero effect on reducing the budget deficit, which is on the order of $2M.

Our two boys love the library at SPS. The librarian has inspired them to explore books, helped them to more engaged in reading, and enriched their education. This would not have been possible without her dedication. All SPS students need the freedom to explore the library, Libriary access and an on-site nuturiing librarian is an essential element of their education.

Megan is a fantastic librarian! I have been volunteering in library this year and I love listening to her lessons. She is so good at teaching things like how to research, what makes a good source, (books and the internet) and even what books a Fortnite kid might like. I have been so impressed with her.

Please keep our full-time librarian! Our kids have really connected with her and find the time to be of important value. Strawberry Point offers an excellent all-around edification. Let’s keep it that way please!

My son loves library time and engaging with the librarian. She is a neutral resource beyond existing teachers and volunteers bringing a level of expertise and guidance of library knowledge to our kids.

Having a dedicated librarian has been essential in my daughters quest to learn to read. She has a learning disability, and a positive and hands-on experience in the library has been critical to her success. The decision to remove a 4th grade teacher and increase class sizes has already resulted in a difficult year. Removing a dedicated librarian hurts everybody. I honestly can't believe we are having this conversation. I find this wrong-headed.

Our librarian Is awesome- Megan is helpful and kind and works efficiently to show she truly cares about our library and more importantly our children- Our son is an avid reader who will fit in any minute to read and tends to finish his books before we even have dinner- same day he checks them out- He says Mrs Heller is very nice and helps him find books amd has gone above and beyond suggesting new series to keep his interest up when one he may want is checked out- He said she always knows books he’ll like and has never gone wrong- He enjoys going to the library even more because of her! Please reconsider and let us keep Mrs Megan Heller!!!! Thank You! It means a lot to have someone like her that our son comes home and tells us about-

I have had 2 kids at Strawberry and have volunteered at the library. The library and librarian are instrumental and a very positive influence on our children’s education. The importance of Books and reading cannot be emphasized enough in this digital age we live in

This is shocking and I'm baffled at the process which lead to the current proposal.
