1. Strange that the leaflet BHH delivered shows clear plans for the new houses in the fields around the Hall but says absolutely nothing about the renovation of the Hall itself.
2. Given the estimated rebuilding costs of the Hall the apartments in it would need to sell for between three quarters of a million to a million and a half so even with the proposed housing development the idea is a non-starter.
3. The Hall has no architectural significance and is only historically significant locally. Even the chap who built it thought it had no architectural merit and rarely lived in it. Would it be such a loss?
4. We have been given no information at all about how the village might benefit from such a development. All Overstone gets is more traffic on a road that is already unfit for the volume it has each day. Plus the extra emissions, the extra acres of concrete and stone.
5. The following information is about BHH and is in the public domain. I suspect that the houses would be built and the company wound up before any real work was done on the Hall.

It would be a tragedy to see Overstone village destroyed and become just another anonymous extension that is Northampton. What villages will Northampton have left?? I grew up on Church Lane, riding my horse, building dens... It will be such a different village without this part of it, houses and roads are being built on all sides!! There will be no village left, a true shame. Where does this destruction of rural areas and villages stop? England losing its identity housing development by housing development.

Where do these builders think all those cars are going to go, the village cannot cope with the traffic at present, the school has no empty places, so where are the children going to be educated. And that says nothing about ruining the beautiful village and precious greenspaces.

This is awful news regarding the proposed new homes! I grew up in Overstone until my early twenties, it is such a beautiful place and there are far too many 'eyesores' of new builds popping up everywhere please leave this lovely area of green alone it would be a travesty!

We are at the stables adjacent to Church farm.This devolpment would destroy Victorian park land, and join in with the rest of the over devolpment of Moulton, which is already impacting on Overstone.This is a unique area of outstanding beauty, which should not be destroyed, for profit.

This development seems to be more about developers making a fast buck and the council keep their housing issues outside of their local area. It's not as if the hall will be restored so that it can be used by the people from the area.
The perception that both the developer and the district council are trying to promote is that the village will benefit from the hall being restored. I can not see any benefit myself only upheaval and a village that will end up with traffic issues witnessed by villages like Isham.
The road network! The one road between Sywell and Overstone is already struggling at times and this before Overstone leys and Overstone school are finished.
Definitely against this development Overstone less is bad enough.

This proposed development will result in an urban development which is not akin to its rural setting! It would have an adverse impact on the road network. We cannot let this go ahead, the village is being ruined..... Yes restore the house but not to the detrement of the surrounding parkland and village!

I am all for progress but we have already got extensive development in this area ,the way of life of current residents is being eroded so that now the peaceful haven they thought they had moved to is greatly impacting on their health and mental wellbeing,notwithstanding the diminishing wildlife that is so valuable- talk about poachers in Africa,we have them in Daventry.

I cannot see how the village could absorb the additional traffic flow on an already busy street. Additionally access is via a dangerous junction with no visibility.
