The biggest worry for me is the increase In traffic and the danger to the local primary school children having to cross at the proposed junction. An accident waiting to happen!

Overstone cannot cope with the additional traffic. 400+ cars trying to turn out of Church Lane is not feasible. They will be queuing all the way back to the Hall!

There are enough houses being built around Moulton and Overstone. This would completely spoil the beautiful bit of countryside that is left in the area

Billing lane is already under immense pressure from speeding traffic as well. I fully agree that this is an abuse of the intention of enabling development but with backing from the conservative central government and support for their corporate business friends this will only get worse

Not only is this proposal not needed with over 2000 houses planned between Overstone and Moulton it would cause caos with a possible 800 traffic movements per day entering on to Sywell road opposite the School. This makes no sense what so ever.

'Enabling development' is for schemes considered harmful (so this application already recognises it will be harmful); but could be accepted because the benefits outweigh the harm. I fail to understand how a tarted up old house converted into luxury apartments for people unlikely to integrate into the village activities can be of any benefit to anyone except the Barry Howard Homes!!

you should be aware that BarryHoward is an ex councillor of Daventry District Council and has been bankrupt on occaisions the last time was receivership about 4 years ago for millions and is trading again despite owing a lot of people

I am strongly against this development which would mean unacceptable amounts of increased traffic. These houses are not needed or wanted within the village of Overstone. I would rather the hall was demolished than accept this development.

Overstone Hall is unlikely to be restored to its former glory. How can it be if it is turned into 20 apartments?? Once enough money is made from new housing where is the guarantee that Overstone Hall will ever get finished?
