I am strongly opposed to the proposed new houses to enable development of the hall. The infrastructure is not in place, the school cannot cope. I recently applied to get my grand daughter into the school as she lives in the village and was told there are no spaces in her year this despite the recent expansion. I have to drive her to school out of the village morning and afternoon which is already very difficult with all the cars outside the school. It will be total chaos if we allow all these extra cars coming out opposite the school. Its too late when a child gets hurt please dont allow this development to ruin our lovely village.

This development will affect both villages, particularly as we have our doctors surgery in Moulton and there is no bus route to get there

Too many houses ruining rural villages . Point of living in a country village as it quieter

We do not believe that Overstone needs 60 more houses and, indeed, are convinced that there is not the infrastructure to support such a development. We therefore urge Daventry Council to turn down this planning application.

Shocking lack of thought about the impact. No school places, overloaded roads and that’s just the top of the iceberg!

Under the enabling process surely they cannot cause detriment only benefit and as of yet I am not aware of any benefit to the people already living in this area

I totally oppose this application because it will be inappropriate in the grounds of an historic hall and the village does not have the infrastructure or roads to sustain any further building and consequent traffic that it would bring

Please don't let all this building ruin our village. The infrastructure is already broken with the house building work between Overstone and Moulton.

I will soon be a resident here. I object to any work done due to beautiful country which would be ruined! And for this small village to keep it how it is

This development will not benefit Overstone in any way. Also the Hall will be private and not available to the community. Surely this is contrary to the 'enabling' principal. Furthermore, the building of 60 houses and flats in the Hall will not produce enough profit to renovate the Hall. Does this mean that further development will then be requested in order to complet the renovations?

The only way this will get approved will be serious back handers betting paid. There should be a full investigation if it does.

The current situation has been fostered by DDC and allowing enabling development to restore the Hall is of no value to the village residents.

This is mindless desecration on an appalling scale; Surely the members of Daventry Council will as responsible citizens, see how devastating and dangerous the proposed plan is.

Ridiculous harmful plan. This will ruin Overstone. No need for more housing in that Parish.... already over-developed. Typical of Daventry District Councils non-sensual development strategy. DDC should be protecting it's communities by placing developments in logical areas.

Totally unacceptable we chose to live in a village that should remain a village
