A building of such architectural and historical significance to the local area should be preserved and enjoyed for generations to come, even if preserved as a living ruin. A building and grounds such as Overstone Hall would best serve the local community as a country park, not demolished to make way for more houses. Why not open the grounds as a country park, charge people a small fee to enter/park their cars and raise charitable donations to at least make the building structurally sound.

We do not have the infrastructure for the current new homes. Where is the new doctors surgery, schools and community centre that was promised. We’re is the recreational green space that was promised. The village can’t support the present amount of traffic and the hall is a wonderful historic landmark that is getting in the way of the developers

Surely enough homes in the area already. Beautiful park land ruined.

Haven’t we had our fair share of new houses? 3500 at the last count. We’re done now. No more.

The History must be preserved and the beautiful woodland that is home to so much wild life. NO!!!! to more homes the traffic in the heart of the village is already taking strain. This will lead to congestion, aggression and ultimately serious potentially fatal traffic injuries on the already over stressed potholed roads

The village roads just cannot cope with even more cars on the road, especially coming out of the lane that would exit this proposed development. Rush hour for Overstone Primary, opposite, is already horrendous and frankly dangerous, at the current time. Additional housing for 200+ could equate to an additional 400-800 cars in the coming years, exiting that development!
