East Dunbartonshire Council finally stopped dragging their feet and approved our application to bring the club home to Southbank. This victory belongs to every one of the 956 people who refused to let this council push our history aside. We secured the win but we will be watching them like …

Kirkintilloch Rob Roy Football Club Petition to East Dunbartonshire Council.

Help us bring Kirkintilloch Rob Roy Football Club back home to Kirkintilloch!!

As many of you are aware Kirkintilloch Rob Roy have been in talks with East Dunbartonshire Council to build a New Football Park where our supporters will be able to go and watch the Historic Rob Roy play.

The new site is on Southbank next to Lairdsland School, a Central location which will be of benefit to local businesses whenThe Rob Roy play this would bring a number of away support to the area. All businesses within walking distance of the ground

However there has been a change in the proposal giving Kirkintilloch Rob Roy a chance to apply for the ground giving Kirkintilloch Rob Roy a great opportunity to run this facility themselves, and move forward with their vision of creating a Community Facility where Sports Clubs, community Groups and local businesses will all be able to benefit from this.

We are looking for the Community to get behind The Rob Roy to help achieve this, and by signing this petition together we will be showing East Dunbartonshire Council how important it is to Kirkintilloch that we are successful in our application.

Kirkintilloch Rob Roy (The Roy) are a Historic Club within the Community, and have been playing since 1878 currently at Guys Meadow, Cumbernauld after leaving Adamslie Park where they played for over 100 years!! The Rob Roy go back through generations of local families, so for your Grandpa's, Grannies, Mum, Dads, Uncles, Aunties and importantly the next generation please I ask you to sign this petition to keep this club and their vision ALIVE!

This new facility will create not only a Home for the Rob Roy, but also a chance for the Town of Kirkintilloch to come out together and show our community support for a a Team they can be proud of.

We just hit 500 signatures and East Dunbartonshire Council needs to realize this community is finished waiting for them to act. They have dragged their feet long enough while our historic club remains in exile. We are forcing them to look at these names and see that the people of Kirkintilloch demand the Roy comes home.

East Dunbartonshire Council is dragging their feet while we wait for a home base that belongs to this community. We are closing in on 500 signatures and I need everyone to put this in front of more people right now. Do not let these bureaucrats think we are going to get tired and just walk away.

March 11, 2018

The momentum behind this move has become impossible for the Council to ignore. They have spent too long dragging their feet while our history sits in limbo and it is time they realize this community demands our club back where it belongs.

Kirkintilloch born and bred. Having our local team return home to kirkintilloch would be a dream come true. Scottish football is crying out for local level football, getting the family and community involved to watch 'their team' will only see positive impact for the club and those involved.

Brings back lots of great memories, including when we won the Scottish Cup in the 50s. My mates and i followed the Rabs everywhere. They were our team! I was so disappointed when they left Adamslie Park. All that history was gone it's time we brought them back to where they belong!

I supported the Rob Roy from as early as I can remember. We, my Dad and Grandfather, travelled all over Scotland to support them. Sometimes by car, but often in supporters buses or even quite often, special trains from Kirky!!!!!

Kirky needs a junior team playing in Kirky nowhere else EDC should be doing everything possible to make it happen instead in my view doing all they can to prevent it happening a lot af local amateur teams have went to the wall in the last few years and if the Roy don’t get back in Kirky soon the same fate will happen

EDC please don't be shortsighted. Not only will KRR Junior and youth team benefit from relocating back home again, their supporters as well as local Kirkintilloch businesses will also feel the benefit.

Having stayed in kirkintilloch for 50 years it's imperative that Rob Roy fc remain in the town ad they are as much part of kirkintilloch folklore as the canal and the auld kirk church
