Residents against the Kenilworth Nurseries Development

The lack of improved infrastructure for this project is a concern. Traffic entering London Road at key times already causes gridlock and the potential of additional homes will add to the congestion

there is another development right next door so why do we need another large housing estate, additional to others already being built around Retford. Also the entrance to this proposed estate is positively dangerous.

Please don't build on this land, my home is at risk of flooding and developing this without new sewers and land drainage my home is more at risk.

Completely unsuitable application, as well as the traffic issues highlighted this is a conservation area and a haven for local wildlife, the connectivity the field provides to a larger green habitat network is fundamental!!! I've lived up the road my whole life and regularly watch and record all the fantastic wildlife! Local greed and economy coming before local community and biodiversity yet again!

I was born and raised in Retford and still live locally, visiting via London road regularly. As said the petition I would invisige significant traffic problems caused by this development, which would cause people to avoid our market town. A single access road is also a ridiculous idea for the number of homes. This area was also badly affected by the 2007 floods. Please re-think this proposal.

London Road is a busy fast road and it can be quite scary when you are stationery waiting to turn into a road on the opposite side, watching traffic coming speeding towards you hoping they have seen you. This will be the same situation at the proposed nursery site with further risk due to the bridge being so close to the access making it almost blind on a 40mph road. Safety is a major concern.

The traffic build up is already horrendous, it will be impassable.

Totally not needed in Retford

I object to this development - I have logged my response on Bassetlaw planing website

We are totally against this development this road is extremely busy and we are very concerned regarding safety .

It isn't the residents of Retford's fault that Bassetlaw District Council has failed to produce a plan for housing but is clearly getting more than it's fair share of new housing. BDC need to get a grip of itself and work out who they are supposed to represent. Landowners and developers or the people?

We do not wish to see a significant increase in traffic on London Road which this development would bring.

Building for building sake! There is so much beautiful wildlife and there happy just to destroy it!

The only beneficiaries of this development will be Harron Homes who will be long gone when the consequences become a reality and the land owners who will be well rewarded for their actions.

This is a CONSERVATION area. If this is ignored what is the point of making this ruling in the first place. One road access onto an already busy road is ridiculous. The flood risk is not to be ignored. The schools are full. Retford is becoming a commuter town with increases in housing not matched by an appropriate increase in infrastructure and facilities. Just say NO.
