The borough council and the bus company should be ashamed at providing so bad a service for our rural young people.

This is very important for local families.

Please reinstate this vital service. My son will be travelling to Oakwood from Marden next year and we are extremely concerned that he can get there safely and on time. This is causing concern and worry to many parents and children. You will restore faith in your company if you reinstate this service promptly. Please show consideration for our children some of whom are just 11 years old.

This bus should be rectified and theses are young children. Or a direct bus should be put on.

Given the number of children travelling in from Staplehurst and the surrounding area, a viable direct service must be possible and should be a priority

Children need to get to school without stress and fear of being late.

There must be a welfare issue around the time this bus takes children into school

This affect a child's education and there are possible health and welfare issues related to this. The bus company must be careful there could be liability.

I was horrified to learn about the necessity for this petition. Surely a safe and efficient service can and must be provided for these vulnerable children. I believed the duty and care is in the hands of the bus company and receiving Schools. Make the children safe.

Our Daughter has an incredibly long day. This week drop off at 6.50 am and on good days pick up from bus stop at 5 pm (other days 6 pm) and then there's the homework. That's a longer day than most adults work and as I said there is 2 - 3 hours homework and prep for GCSEs. We found out that in addition to losing the direct bus route her bus in to Maidstone will now be arriving at the bus stop at 6.45 am. Let us treat those that can't drive and don't have an alternative fairly. It's bad enough that the village she lives in has no bus service and we're 3.5 miles from the nearest stop.

Children are vulnerable going to and from school and to make the time so early that some children have to leave home before 6.30 is scandalous. Get your act together Arriva, behave responsibly and reinstate the direct bus to Oakwood Park and MGGS at a sensible time.

This decision shows extremely poor customer service and a complete disregard to the impact to the children using this bus to get to school.

I'm sure that the people making decisions don't work such ridiculously long hours.......some of these children are only 12 years old!!!!!!

No notice. No apparent concern about the welfare of its customers either. Pupils have to be thought about.
