I used the 5 to get from Staplehurst to Invicta about five years ago...the bus was supposed to arrive at 0720, and 99% of the time it arrived after 0740. Considering that Staplehurst isn't exactly far down the bus route, it just led to the service becoming later and later, leaving everyone standing in the cold (and often wet) for up to an hour, waiting.

I'm signing in support of my friends and their daughter who are having a difficult time as a result of your actions. Put yourselves in their position & help these young people get to school & home safely.

how can you expect children to get up earlier and get back later than most working people just to get to school and back. would you be happy for your children to be up so early and wait around town in the dark for hours every day on their own?

Please reinstate the direct bus to OPGS and MGGS - it would solve so many problems. Your service is diabolical as it is, taking this particular service off has made everything in the town with ALL Maidstone "bus catching" school children (not just these two schools) so much worse with the knock on effect.

How ridiculous that children of 11 are having to get to school so early. My daughters school run is similar and she meets the bus at 8 and 45 minutes later is in school. Why are these children arrivibg at school an hour befor lessons. Surely someone needs some common sense.

It is not acceptable that children should be standing at bus stops before 7am. Re-instate the direct bus. Arriva should have more consideration for these young children and their welfare.

This is a no brainer arriva/Kent county council, please sort your lives out so that the kids don't continue to suffer. PS, ex bus/coach driver, I know how it works, if your management doesn't, sack them, this is a pathetic excuse of a service.

This is madness how are the kids supposed to be alert enough to learn? Not to mention gross negligence and reckless endangerment to have children alone in the dark for so long.

I believe it is essential (even more so in the winter and darker months) that there are direct buses (at sensible times) for the children coming from Staplehurst who study at MGGS and Oak wood Park.

Reinstate the direct bus to OPGS it solves all of this nonsense. With the proposed new timetable my (only just 11 year old) son will be catching the bus at 6.47am and not returning until nearly 5pm please don't let this happen.

I herby acknowledge that i vote against the bus company to increase the fee and make children get to school to early. Its dangerouse and thoughtless.

I used this number 5 to travel from Staplehurst to Invicta in the 90s. The extra services were definitely needed then and I'm sure they still are now! Please reinstate.
