i am a sophomore at Byrnes high school and I have high rebel pride do to all the things are school has done ever since it was made not because I'm racist which I am not

STOP THE MADNESS! There is NO "Valid" reason to change the teams mascot name, just like there was NO "Valid" reason to ban the Confederate Flag! It's a part of our history, like it or not, good or bad (in your own eyes). What next .. remove the chapters on the Civil War from our history books? Relax folks .. the "Flag" or a school mascot named the "Rebels" isn't hurting anyone except overly sensetive people with nothing better to do than whine about this stuff! GO REBELS!!!!
