To improve road safety & reduce traffic speed through Radyr & Morganstown to 20mph

We also need to focus on the other roads around Radyr. To avoid Heol Isaf cars are cutting through the golf course lane and joining Bryn Derwen and because there is less traffic and no speed cameras they race along there at speeds in excess of 40 and 50 mph. In my view this is far more dangerous and it is not just the short cutters but the residents too.

20mph zone along Heol Isaf is a must. A formal crossing at Min-Y-Coed should also be a priority.

Agree with this petition. There needs to be traffic solutions to tackle the increasing traffic along Heol Isaf especially in light of the new housing developments along Llantrisant road. Importantly, a crossing at Min-Y-Coed is a priority along with an improved crossing on Heol Isaf outside Radyr Primary - too many cars just drive straight through.

I lived in radyr for 20 years and live nearby now. Traffic calming measures have been needed for a long time, even more so now with all the new builds. Anyone else experience silent bullying when you maintain 30 mph. I have, more times than not. Drivers travel so close you almost feel them pushing you to go faster. 20 mph will really cheese them off. Bring it on !

Ive lived in this area all my life. People rarely stick to the speed limits now and the number of cars has increased in recent years. I've watched cars in front of me hit 40mph even though the speed sensors displayed it. Previous signer hit the nail on the head about the mental impact of speed/traffic. No wonder everyone is so stressed. The solution is a no -brainer but Cardiff Council seem to be behind as usual on progressive transport ideas.

I agree about the Heol Isaf petition but also more traffic is using Driscoll Road and Bryn Derwen as a short cut when there is heavy traffic on Heol Isaf and speed past two Primary Schools.

Traffic can not only have adverse effects by endangering life, but can also effect mental health and the general environment. It is not fair for communities to accept the brunt of this without restrictions in place, whilst better infrastructure for public transport is also needed.

Cardiff Road is extremely long and traffic can build up considerable speeds. Considering there is a school at the top of the hill, traffic calming measures are therefore essential. There is also a church and youth centre midway through the district so this area should contain same. The area by Dan y Bryn Care home is also treacherous with cars building up speed as they gain a false sense of security when heading northwards. Finally the hill heading north towards Morganstown is fraught with danger as cars tend to pick up speed to head down the hill. Please do something NOW to prevent any catastrophes occurring in this peaceful village.

Windsor Crescent has developed into a cut through for speedy drivers. Increased parking in Windsor Crescent due to increased shops has made the road even more dangerous with cars speeding through. Windsor Crescent needs to be a one way.

This needs to be actioned on the roads around Bryn Deri school

As the volume of traffic has increased along Heol Isaf and Kings Road and will do so even more in the future, it is time that the council urgently addresses this problem.
