I am a professional bass-player and self-employed musician, and the availability or lack of live music gigs directly impacts my ability to provide for myself and make a living. I live in San Diego but work with musicians based in Ramona.

These performances add to the charm and the draw for your boutique wineries. And we have to believe it's quite a boon for local performers too!

We attended a show at the Ramona Ranch Winery and, after driving down from Los Angeles, were gobsmacked at the organization, warm hospitality, safe environment and overall quality of the experience. Not only that, but the event was sold out to a local audience who obviously enjoyed themselves, and the musicians made a respectable amount of money playing original music. Wins all around, and why the Ramona Chamber of Commerce would want to limit such great economic and cultural opportunity for so many people in the community would be beyond me. Please grant the amendment so that high quality, original live music and the audiences it serves can be a source of responsible economic and cultural growth in the area.
